- Did you like it or not? Why? Was it helpul for you? How would you evaluate the oranization of the class activity? Do you have any suggestions about making such treasure hunt tasks better?

Dear Teachers,
ОтветитьУдалитьI've just watched the photos from the British Council. As for me I think that two our english groups have the most interesting lessons and they are also the most organized (especially due to our teachers). Thank you very much for opportunity to study english in different specialized places like American Center and British Council and for opportunity to practise our knowledge with foreigners.
Yours sincerely.
Where is I? NO photo with me!
ОтветитьУдалитьSo, I think Treasure Hunt could be more difficult and interesting. Why were there no tasks? Find any information - it's for children from the kindergarten. Treasure Hunt means tasks on every point of way. You got your task, then you went to your place from task and found next task. So it may be 4 or 5 tasks on the way.
But it isn't simple for making this, but can be more interesting for gaming.
Thank for lesson.
Your Ivan.

ОтветитьУдалитьVanya, how haven't you seen your face on the 5th picture? That's my favourite one))) If you'd like I can send you some photos that haven't been posted in the blog ))
ОтветитьУдалитьTY 4 your comments.
About the difficulty of the task - as we've tried this technique for the first time we had only suppositions how difficult it would be for our students. Now we've got a clearer picture and see that there could be more various tasks offered.
About 'Treasure Hunt means tasks on every point of way' - the technique you've described is called 'SCAVENGER HUNT'. The goal of a scavenger hunt is to be the first to complete the list of the tasks. For our lesson we've chosen a treasure hunt as we wanted to focus on the result - to find out as much as possible about the British Centre resources. We hope after that treasure hunt class you'll have a clear picture of what you cand find and use for your studies of English. Hope my explanation is clear.
As any further questions appear, please feel free to ask.
Thank you for the comments again ))))

I really didn't know any differences from Scavenger Hunt and Treasure Hunt! I am sorry.
ОтветитьУдалитьMaybe you are right. We found all of shelf.
But my opinion is Scavenger Hunt may be more interesting for doing similar tasks.
For example: there were 7 tasks - good number for Scavenger Hunt))
OK. The lesson was good)
I found myself on 5th picture. I didn't recognize myself with beard any moustache)
I don't know, how much British Council is different from our American Center, but thank you for that lesson, now we better know Tomsk)) and places, where we can find materials for English lessons.
ОтветитьУдалитьIn British Council you can find multimedia materials. And in American Centre no. Sure, there are lots of books in AC and BC. I think BC is bigger then AC.
ОтветитьУдалитьThis all.
